Happy New Year! Wow, I can’t believe this is 2010 and it promises to bring us some new & exciting things personally but also corporately as the church. One of those new things is a new worship experience beginning here at NSUMC on Jan.6th. It’s called The Connexion.
For many years NS has had a 30 min Wednesday Night Praise services. It’s changing in several ways. Our Wednesday Night Praise service will become The Connexion and expand to 45 min. With the new name & time also comes a new format.
The Connexion will become NSUMC 3rd worship service in expectation of being an on-ramp for the un-churched, the de-churched, for friends, family or just about anybody you might invite. Its user friendly, it’s contemporary and will still incorporate all the wonderful components we’ve come to love about our Wednesday Nights. With a fellowship meal at the The Connexion Cafe…. the service will be a great place to meet, eat and seek.
It’s a service that will continue to grow & transform over the next several months until it finds its final form very soon. Many of you will be called upon to meet the needs of the new service be it greeting, teaching, giving a testimony, being part of the Praise singers or drama or tech team.
God has blessed this church in so many ways. The bible says to whom much is given much is required. We have felt the strong nudge of the Holy Spirit to take this next step and we ask all of you to be prayerful in this transition.
This past year a powerful question was asked around here. It was plastered on banners, books and signs….. the question???
